From the estate of a famous old family, this Edo-era Mishima bowl has great folk spirit and a utilitarian, sturdy shape that is emblazoned with a fantastic bold, wavy linear pattern. Its large size and deep profile would be suitable for a serving bowl. Even the bottom has wonderful color and character. Comes with a sturdy box.
Condition: Fair. There is one gold repair and several old kiln cracks that do not sacrifice the integrity of this bowl.
