Description
We have five Celadon Hirado kozara (small plates) from the Meiji era (1868-1912) in an elegant diamond shape. The price is for one. While we hate to break up a set, it is also nice to set the table with a variety of shapes. The useful size is on the large end of a kozara, and the shape is versatile: They can either be set upon the table as a diamond or trapezoid. Hirado is similar in look to Mimpei ware.
CONDITION: Excellent. There are no chips or scratches. One plate has a small glaze irregularity (crystallization) on the bottom, and one has tiny brown flecks as seen in the photo.
SIZE: 6.57 x 5.31 x .98 inches / 16.7 x 13.5 x 2.5 cm
